The Santo Domingo Metro fares apply to both the Line 1 and Line 2 lines currently in operation.

The cost of a Santo Domingo Metro ride is RD$20.00 (~$0.33 USD) pesos.

Passengers have two options for using the Santo Domingo Metro. They can use either a single-use card or a rechargeable card.

Metro Single-Ride Card Santo Domingo

In this section, you will find details about the different options available for the Single-Ride Card, which include the One-Way Reload, the Round-Trip Reload, and the Day Pass.

ONE-WAY RECHARGE

Single-Ride Card: This card option allows you to make one (1) single trip on the subway.

The price of the One-Way Top-Up is RD$20.00 (~$0.33 USD) pesos.

Requirements for the One-Way Top-Up: You must purchase a Single-Use Card, which costs an additional RD$15.00 (~$0.25 USD).

ROUND-TRIP RECHARGE

Round-Trip Pass: This card option allows you to take two (2) trips on the subway.

The price of the Round-Trip Top-Up is RD$40.00 (~$0.67 USD) pesos.

Requirements for the Round-Trip Top-Up: You must purchase a Single-Use Card, which costs an additional RD$15.00 (~$0.25 USD) pesos.

DAY PASS

Day Pass: This card option allows you to make as many trips as you need (unlimited) within 24 hours of your first use. This option allows you to use both the metro and the cable car.

The price of the Day Pass is RD$80.00 (~$1.33 USD) pesos.

Day Pass Requirements: You must purchase a Single-Use Card, which costs an additional RD$15.00 (~$0.25 USD) pesos. Another option is to use a Rechargeable Card.

Metro Rechargeable Card Santo Domingo

ONE-WAY TRIP

One-Way Trip: This card option allows you to take one (1) single trip on the subway. After using it, you can keep the card to take more trips.

The price of a one-way trip is RD$20.00 (~$0.33 USD) pesos.

Requirements for the One-Way Top-Up: You must purchase a Single-Use Card, which costs an additional RD$15.00 (~$0.25 USD) pesos. Another option is to use a Rechargeable Card.

ROUND-TRIP

Round-Trip Ticket: This card option allows you to take two (2) trips on the subway. After using it, you can keep the card to take more trips.

The price of the Round-Trip Ticket is RD$40.00 (~$0.67 USD) pesos.

Requirements for Reloading the Round Trip Card: You must purchase a Single-Use Card, which costs an additional RD$15.00 (~$0.25 USD) pesos. Another option is to have a Rechargeable Card.

MULTI 10 TRAVEL PLAN

Multi 10 Travel Plan: This card option allows you to take up to ten (10) trips on the subway. This product offers a 7.5% discount off the regular price. You cannot purchase a new Multi 10 Travel Plan until you have used all 10 trips. After using them, you can keep the card to take additional trips.

The price of the Multi 10 Travel Plan is RD$185.00 (~$3.08 USD) pesos.

Multi 10 Travel Plan Requirements: You must have a Rechargeable Card to purchase this product.

MULTI 20 TRAVEL PLAN

Multi 20 Travel Plan: This card option allows you to take up to twenty (20) trips on the subway. This product offers a 10% discount off the regular subway fare.

You cannot purchase a new Multi 20 Travel Plan until you have used all 20 trips. After using them, you can keep the card to make more trips.

The price of the Multi 20 Travel Plan is RD$360.00 (~$6.00 USD) pesos.

Multi 20 Travel Plan Requirements: You must have a Rechargeable Card to purchase this product.

TOP UP YOUR CARD WALLET

Top Up Wallet: This option allows you to top up your wallet with any amount. Top-ups can range from a minimum of RD$20.00 (~$0.33 USD) to a maximum of RD$7,000 (~$0.12 USD).00.

When you take a trip on the Santo Domingo Metro or the Cable Car, the fare will be deducted from the remaining balance on your rechargeable card when it is used.

Top-ups can be combined with the Multi 10 or Multi 20 Plan option to cover the number of trips the user needs to get around.

The price of the Wallet Top-up ranges from RD$20.00 (~$0.33 USD) to RD$7,000 (~$0.12 USD).00.

Wallet Top-Up Requirements: You must have a Rechargeable Card to perform a top-up.
